Wannabe John Paris is in the top 20 at the Nats. On Wednesday I watched his official flights and from what I saw I figured he'd make the cut--and he did. I can't possibly describe how proud of him I am and happy to see his work get the recognition he deserves.

Everyone,
I was quite surprised when CLE Frank and Dan Miles showed up in Muncie on Wednesday. We had a small coaching session to which I must give Frank and Dan some credit for my success with their input. To clarify some points, I made the cut for the top 20 in Advanced afterwhich I managed to make #7 after everything shook out today. If I could have squeezed out another point, I would have been 6th. Maybe next year.

There were only 3 of us here for stunt at the Nats this year from what I could see. Me, Michael and Bob McDonald. We know where I finished, but Michael also finished 7th in his first outing with a new airplane in Intermediate while being the only Junior. To add to this, he also captured the Best Brodak model and Pilot's Choice awards. I will see about getting a picture of the airplane up here when I get back home (it will be week old tomorrow). He will be shooting for the Junior National Precision Aerobatics Championship as well as a chance at the Walker Trophy tomorrow. Bob McDonald also made the top 20 in the Open category and finished a respectable 11th from that group.

We will see how things shake out tomorrow and when I get home I will give an update.
John

John,Dan and I planned on sneaking up on you on the L-Pad. We were more surprised when you showed up at the car before we got out of it, than you were that we showed up. How do you do that?
We're waiting for you to settle in and give us an accounting of how you and Mike got yourselves so far up to the top of the winners list.
