K&B has a .61C/L in their ad. Said its the Veco .61 that Clarence Lee designed. Has anyone used this engine?

I see K&B offers two versions of the .61. Both are 14 plus ounces in weight. I wonder how that compares with other .60 size engines.
Are you thinking about getting one Dave?

Run in properly the K&B should work good for you. Although if you have a .60 engine that's been reliable for you - you may want to consider using that one.

The biggest plane Ive been flying is .40 sized. Nothing in the .60 s yet. Its something Ive wanted to try but I dont want to spend a large amout of money on this. Look like I'll give the K&B a try. I'll let you know how it works in the spring.

Dave, you're going bigger and I'm going smaller.
I built a few Legacy's with ST .51s. I think that qualifies for .60 size planes.
I have a Vector .40 kit I'm ready to paint. I have an AeroTiger .36 for it.
After the bigger planes the .40 size models look really good to me.
The K&B will definitely put you into the larger plane category. They're impressive and fun to fly. Good luck with yours. :D

Dave,
I have seen an older K&B 60 run and it did pretty well. They are heavy though. I was surprised to see that the Fox was 19 ozs. I would guess that this is the weight with the muffler. Personally I would go for the Ceramic 60 stunt version, but is does cost a bit more. Rumor on the street is that there will be an EVO 60 available in the near future in the $150 range. Look for a review done by Allen Brickhaus in FM. You might be able to find some news on one of the other sites as well.
John
