I got lucky last week and got 4 engines, 5 fuel tanks and a bunch of Cox glow heads, both 049 and .020 sizes.
6 of the 8 .049 heads and all 7 of the .020 heads light up.
Three of the engines are complete and the second Grean Head K&B 45 only needs the needle valve assembly and the exhaust baffel and actuating rod.
When I received them the McCoy Red Head 35 was stiff and reported to have never been ran. It looks it!
The other three engines were all locked up. They are now all freed up and ready to run.

Did I get my money's worth?
Clancy

Clancy,

I'd say you did allright. Now the question is, are you ever going to use them.

Clancy,
You did pretty good with that find. Got homes for them?

The K&B 45 Green Head missing parts is spoken for.

The others might be available after I bench run them.

Clancy,
I was just curious what you were going to do with them such as future projects not asking if they were available for sale. I thought you may have had a secret project that we have not seen yet in the building forum.

I have often thought of putting engines back in my CL Sport Scale P-38 and putting it back in competition. It was featured as a construction article in Model Aviation March 1986 page 75. At the1983 NATS it had the 4th highest static score of 24 entries.
It originally was powered by two ST 35 C engines. I might try to fit two OS 40 FP engines in it now that I have three of them in the ready to run box. I like to have a backup engine ready for my competition aircraft.

The McCoy 35 Red Head engine has been shipped to it's new owner.

NICE FIND! Sounds like you already made your investment back. Most of the McCoy RC's I ever saw were Blue Head Lightning Bolt cases - so you red head was unusual in that regard but not collector-scarce. Mecoa still has some parts for McCoy & K&B. Of all those parts I'd say the 020 Glow Heads are the rarest of the bunch!
